Abstract
The infusion of pancreatic juice intravenously caused a drop in total lipid levels in serum. The intra-arterial perfusion of both nonactivated and activated pancreatic juice produced a rise in the perfusate levels of lipids. The mechanisms by which pancreatic juice causes a drop in systemic lipid levels while causing an elevation of lipid levels in the perfused hind limb remains unexplained. The perfusion of the juice produced no recognizable ill effects on the perfused limb.
