Abstract
Defects from burns of the lower extremity involving bone were closed by transposing nearby muscle and covering by split-thickness skin grafts in three patients. The outcome was successful and the rehabilitation period was considerably shortened. The method is recommended as a relatively simple way of managing a difficult problem.
