A Case Report and Review of Literature

Abstract
A case of liposarcoma of the scrotum occurred. The tumor weighed 400 gm. It had been present five years prior to excision and five years after excision had shown no tendency to recur. A review of the world literature reveals that this is the second case recorded that involved the wall of the scrotum per se. The other ten cases listed under this diagnosis were of the spermatic cord. Distinction is important because the therapy suggested for sarcoma of the wall is wide excision of the tumor itself, whereas tumors of the cord necessitate orchiectomy, high ligation, and excision of the cord.
