Abstract
A renal transplant recipient had an infection due to Nocardia asteroides. The infection was unusual in that it involved the eye as well as the perinephric space. The kidney graft was saved by vigorous surgical drainage combined with specific chemotherapy. Nocardial eye involvement required enucleation as therapy.
