An Operation to Restore Opposition of the Thumb by Nerve Transfer

Abstract
Upper-arm median nerve injury occurred in a patient. The branch of the ulnar nerve to the ring-finger lumbrical was detached and sutured to the distal end of the surgically divided branch of the median nerve to the thenar muscles. Function of these muscles was restored within 11 weeks.
