Correction of Surgically Incurable Urinary Incontinence by Injection Technique

Abstract
A new nonoperative, outpatient technique is described for the correction of urinary incontinence in women whose incontinence has failed to respond to surgical repair. Polytef paste is injected into the submucosal tissue of the urethra in order to augment its thickness. This has proved effective in restoring intraluminal resistance in three patients studied and resulted in the correction of urinary incontinence.
