Operative ArteriographyA New Variation
Joe A. Pinkerton, Jr., MD
Arch Surg. 1975;110(7):841-842.
Abstract
A technique of intraoperative arteriography for evaluating the technical construction of femoral popliteal bypass involves direct injection of contrast material into the vein graft after construction of the distal anastomosis. This allows full assessment of the anastomosis and of graft position prior to transection of the graft or proximal femoral arteriotomy.
