Enhancement of Flow Through Arteriovenous Fistula

Bruce P. Mindich, MD; Bernard S. Levowitz, MD

Arch Surg. 1976;111(2):195-196.

Abstract

• Hydrostatic dilation and moist heat applied postoperatively are methods that enhance blood flow in side-to-end radial artery to cephalic vein arteriovenous fistula. This improves early patency of the fistula with marginal sized outflow.
