Control of Lumbar Arterial Bleeding During Aortic Aneurysm Surgery

Abstract
Lumbar backbleeding from an opened aortic aneurysm may be very troublesome. Suturing of these ostia is occasionally difficult because of an unyielding calcified vessel wall. We describe a new technique utilizing warm bone wax to occlude these ostia.
