Polypoid Lesion of the Stomach

Resection Through the Fiberoptic Endoscope

Siroos S. Shirazi, MD

Arch Surg. 1979;114(8):948-949.

Abstract

• Endoscopic removal of gastric polyps was done in six patients. Because most gastric polyps are benign and the malignant neoplasm is limited to the polyp without distant metastasis, local excision should be the treatment of choice.
