Abstract
The first known use of the H2-receptor antagonist cimetidine (Tagamet) in a case of a Meckel's diverticulum containing heterotopic gastric mucosa with ileal ulceration and hemorrhage is reported. The interim use of cimetidine facilitated the performance of elective diverticulectomy for the indication of lifethreatening hemorrhage.
