Esophageal Leiomyoma First Seen as a Superior Mediastinal Mass

Abstract

• Leiomyoma of the esophagus is only rarely the cause of an asymptomatic superior mediastinal mass. This case is presented to remind physicians of this entity and to focus attention on its diagnosis and treatment.
