Diagnosis of Spigelian Hernia by Computed Tomography

Karl J. Papierniak, MD; Bruce Wittenstein, MD; John F. Bartizal, MD; James W. Wielgolewski, MD; Leon Love, MD

Arch Surg. 1983;118(1):109-110.

Abstract

• A spigelian hernia was clinically suspected. Ultrasonographic findings were equivocal, but computed tomography (CT) was diagnostic. Surgeons and radiologists alike should be aware of the potential of CT to make this difficult diagnosis.
