Abstract
Multiple staphylococcal liver abscesses in a patient with chronic granulomatous disease failed to resolve with antibiotic treatment and surgical drainage. The infection was finally controlled by addition of granulocyte transfusion therapy totaling 24 transfusions and a total of 14.5 x 1010 granulocytes.
