This is the fifth edition of Dr Wesley Moore's authoritative reference in the field of vascular surgery. One of the privileges afforded a reviewer is the opportunity to review a comprehensive textbook that is considered a classic in the vascular literature. Moore enlisted 70 well-recognized authorities in this field whose views are expressed in 45 chapters. As clearly stated in the preface, the original objective of this book was to present vascular topics related to the practice of vascular surgery in a comprehensive manner while keeping the book to a manageable size. With all the changes in this edition, the author succeeded in keeping this book at a reasonable size in comparison with the fourth edition; ie, from 870 pages in the fourth edition to 919 pages in this edition.
