The treatment of vascular lesions by endovascular techniques is rapidly expanding. The number and character of lesions that are being treated has broadened to include the exclusion of aneurysms and the management of trauma. To cope with these complex vascular lesions, we are witnessing an explosive development of technology that includes an expanding armamentarium of balloons, stents, stent grafts, and the delivery systems required for the endoluminal deployment of these devices. Appropriate training materials should logically include a basic primer for those physicians who are at the threshold for developing their skills. Dr Schneider's book fulfills this need. The intimate details of the basic techniques are clearly described and well illustrated with precise drawings.
