Breast cancer is such a serious problem that most books about breast disease are exclusively about malignancy. Limited descriptions of benign conditions are included only as they relate to ruling out the presence of a cancer. As the authors state, while more than 90% of clinical problems related to the breast are due to benign conditions, they are generally neglected. These physicians have devoted their professional lives to treating women with benign symptoms and share their comprehensive and detailed experience in this book.
It is an elegant volume in appearance, beautifully and sturdily bound, 9 x 7 inches, and light enough to hold in one hand while turning the 316 glossy pages to check the excellent references at the end of each of 22 chapters.
