At the end of 1999, Humana Press published Thyroid Cancer, edited by Leonard Wartofsky, MD, for members of the medical community. This book was produced to serve clinicians, surgeons, and pathologists involved in the care of patients with thyroid cancer.

For decades the many contributions made to different fields of medicine by the Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC, have been recognized worldwide. Now, Wartofsky and his carefully selected group of contributors have created this comprehensive book that undoubtedly will become part of the preferred reference library of many physicians and trainees.
