The ARCHIVES is pleased to announce the appointment of the following distinguished surgeons to its Editorial Board.
Susan Galandiuk, MD, received her medical degree at Julius Maximilians Universitaet, Wuerzburg University Medical School, Wuerzburg, Germany, followed by a surgical internship at the same institution. She completed a surgical residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (Cleveland, Ohio) and a colorectal fellowship at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minn). Dr Galandiuk holds certification from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. She is professor of surgery at the University of Louisville and director of the Price Institute of Surgical Research (Louisville, Ky).

Richard J. Bold, MD, received his undergraduate education at the University of California, San Diego, and his medical degree from Stanford University (Stanford, Calif). He completed a surgical residency at the University of California, Davis–East Bay, during which time he was a research fellow in the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr Bold is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, Tex) and is presently assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis.

Michael E. Zenilman, MD, received his medical degree summa cum laude from SUNY Downstate Medical School (Brooklyn, NY) and was elected to membership in Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His internship and residency were performed at Washington University School of Medicine (St Louis, Mo). Dr Zenilman holds certification from the American Board of Surgery and is the Clarence and Mary Dennis Professor and chair of the Department of Surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
Jo Buyske, MD, received her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (New York, NY) and performed her internship and residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr Buyske presently serves as surgeon-in-chief at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, where she is director of minimally invasive surgery.
The ARCHIVES is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Manuel Trias to its International Advisory Board.
Manuel Trias, MD, PhD, is a graduate of the School of Medicine, University of Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain), where he received his doctorate in medicine and surgery in 1979. His specialization is general, digestive, and minimally invasive surgery. He is professor of surgery at the University of Barcelona.
