INTRODUCTION

A 45-year-old woman presented with a 3-day history of vomiting and generalized abdominal pain. Physical examination showed an afebrile and stable patient in moderate distress with mild diffuse abdominal tenderness, absent peritoneal signs, and a discrete intra-abdominal mass. Laboratory findings and medical and surgical history were unremarkable. Abdominal computed tomography was performed (Figure 1 and Figure 2).
