Error in Table in: Effect of Surgeon and Hospital Characteristics on Outcome After Pyloromyotomy

Error in Table. The article by Ly et al titled "Effect of Surgeon and Hospital Characteristics on Outcome After Pyloromyotomy," published in the December 2005 issue of the ARCHIVES (2005;140:1191-1197), included on page 1193 a table with data cells that violated the data use agreement for the database analyzed in the study. The Kids' Inpatient Database (KID) is a large, restricted-access, publicly available data set that is maintained by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). One of the provisions of the data use agreement signed by the authors is that no cross-tabulated data observation involving 10 or fewer observations is to be published, a measure put in place by AHRQ to protect individual patients' privacy and to prevent the potential disclosure of personal information. The authors regret the oversight that led to publication of such disclosures. Table 2 should appear as follows:
