Largest Meeting of Surgeons in Atlantic City, Oct 18-22.—The world's largest meeting of surgeons will be held in Atlantic City, NJ, Oct 18 through 22, with the opening of the 57th annual Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons.

Nearly, 14,000 are expected to register for the five-day meeting, including 9,000 to 10.000 physicians from some 40 countries.

Because of the rapidity of change in modern medicine, surgeons generally accept the responsibility of being continuous and life-long students. They are aware that their responsibility for continuing education never ends and, at the Atlantic City meeting, they will hear more than 1,800 participants give lectures and study reports and demonstrations, all aimed at keeping the practicing surgeon abreast of "what's new" in the specialty of surgery.
