The declared purposes of this paperbound text are to provide students of surgical pathology with some of the important didactic material that should be part of every physician's training, to help the medical student on surgical rotation, and to serve as a refresher for interns, surgical residents, and attending staff. The material is organized by organ system, and brief paragraphs of text are followed by one or more true-false, multiple choice, or fill-in questions based on this material and often couched in the same words. The answers parallel the text, and a masking sheet is provided to permit the reader to focus on one section at a time, answer the questions, and then confirm the answer.
