This is the first of a proposed series that aims to present a combination of original papers by American authors and material presented in foreign languages by European authors. This is to be done in a topic-oriented format and is aimed at wider dissemination of work being done by European authors that has been presented, to this point, in their native languages. This presents a problem to interested readers who do not have adequate reading knowledge of the particular languages. The work of these authors will be presented in a review fashion, as will the original works of the American authors, allowing the publisher to present each chosen topic as a comprehensive review.
Two topics of major interest have been chosen for the initial volume. These are leg length discrepancy and the injured knee. The section on leg length discrepancy is excellent, with reviews of treatment directed at both orthotic
