This book is a current and comprehensive review of aortic aneurysms for vascular surgeons. Chapters are devoted to the anatomy and treatment of thoracic, thoracoabdominal, or abdominal aneurysms with a current bibliography. The author gives an accurate and interesting historic perspective with each type of aneurysm.

The progression of treatment during the last three decades is well covered in this book and should be of value to the cardiovascular surgeon, as well as the cardiologist or physician caring for this problem. The progress made in this field is such that almost all types of aortic aneurysm now can safely be treated definitively.

The text is clearly written and presented as a summary of current thought. Its strength lies in the exhaustive research done by the authors, accompanied by a bibliography that traces the origins of treatment to the present up-to-date therapy for each type of aneurysm.
