By whatever criteria, this book has to be the ultimate as a proctologic operative atlas. It is a veritable colorectal review extravaganza—645 pages, thousands of illustrations by 17 artists from around the world, 62 noteworthy contributors from five countries and almost every continent, and, to top it all off, a price of $199.95. Rob and Smith edited the operative surgery series for many years and have now passed the responsibility on to Todd and Fielding.
