To the Editor.—I would like to comment on the article "Danger of Fundoplication After Selected Vagotomy and Antrectomy" by Gleysteen and Condon.¹ The problem the authors described could easily have been obviated by the use of the anterior fundoplication described by Thal.² Although Thal's fundoplication does require mobilization of the distal esophagus, it does not require the division of any vessels whatsoever. The results of Thal's fundoplication, in children at least, certainly are every bit as good as those of Nissen's fundoplication. . . . [Full Text PDF of this Article]
