Since the appearance of the first paper¹ from this clinic on the subject of blood transfusing, numerous inquiries have been received regarding the details of the method described. I thought best, however, to await the completion of at least the first 1,000 transfusions before answering these questions and then to answer them in the form of an article. It was hoped thus to encourage and promote a more extensive use of blood transfusions by emphasizing and recommending a method that is simple and consistently successful. The time has now arrived when it is possible to set down results of our experience with one method in 1,000 transfusions.
