Revised Information. In the editorial titled "A National Treasure: The 82nd Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons" that was published in the October 1996 issue of the ARCHIVES (1996;131:1019), the last 2 sentences of the third to the last paragraph of the second column on page 1019 should have read as follows: "Following an internship at Vancouver General Hospital, Vancouver, British Columbia, and a year of general surgery at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Syracuse, he entered an orthopedic residency at the State University of Iowa, Iowa City. His first faculty appointment was at SUNY (Syracuse) where he rose to the rank of professor and chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, a position that he currently holds." . . .
