Large adenomas of the kidney are rarely reported in the literature, but small tumors of this type varying in size from 2 mm. to 2 cm. are often found at necropsy. Kretschmer¹ recently reviewed seventeen cases of the former type in the literature and added a case of his own. We are reporting another case, the third in which operation was performed and the third reported from the Mayo Clinic.²

REPORT OF A CASE

A man, aged 46, came to the Mayo Clinic complaining of stomach trouble, weakness, constipation and a palpable tumor in the left hypochondrium. His father had died of carcioma of the rectum at the age of 60. The patient had malaria in 1894, and in 1909 he had a "nervous breakdown" and a hemorrhoidectomy was performed.
