An ommission in the copy of the final paragraph of Dr. F. G. Kergins' discussion (p. 335) of the article "A Simplified and Rapid Anatomical Approach to Parotidectomy" by Drs. E. S. Brintnall, R. T. Tidrick, and W. C. Huffman, in the September, 1955, issue of the ARCHIVES, distorted the meaning of this paragraph. The paragraph should read as follows:
"Dr. Janes has maintained a follow-up over the past 20 years of these cases treated in the Toronto General Hospital, and he gives me these figures: There have been 32 patients operated on for carcinoma of the gland, and 89 benign tumors, none of which developed evidence of recurrence during the period of follow-up. I am afraid I don't have the figures for the carcinomas."
